The results demonstrated that dietary hyaluronic acid significantly improved skin hydration and elasticity. However, this study also did not directly compare the effectiveness of oral hyaluronic acid to topical application.

While these studies provide evidence that oral hyaluronic acid can improve skin hydration and elasticity, they do not directly compare the effectiveness of oral supplements to topical creams or lotions containing hyaluronic acid. Further research is needed to conclusively determine whether oral hyaluronic acid is more effective than topical application for skin health benefits.

It is important to note that severe riboflavin deficiency can cause skin disorders such as angular cheilitis and seborrheic dermatitis.
